The School

At our School, we are committed to creating a revolutionary in-person school designed to empower women emerging from challenging life circumstances.

Our first of ten schools will launch in Denmark, supporting women who have undergone psychiatric treatments, completed psychological therapy, survived domestic violence, or struggled with self-harm.

Our dedication ensures that mental illness doesn’t strip individuals of their potential because every woman deserves a life filled with dignity, purpose, and empowerment.

The current state of psychiatric care, particularly in Denmark, is faltering, leaving many women unsupported after therapy. As they transition back to daily life, too many find themselves isolated, lacking the community and leadership they need to thrive.

Evidence speaks volumes: 47.5% of Danish women have faced physical violence, and for a significant portion, the violence comes from close partners. The landscape of psychological trauma is vast, yet the specific data on mental health recovery remains scarce.

  • Exposure to violence: A study by the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights shows that 47.5% of Danish women have been subjected to physical violence, threats of violence, and/or sexual violence. For 25.7% of these women, the perpetrator was a husband, boyfriend, or similar.
  • Psychological partner violence: According to Lev Uden Vold, 5.5% of women over the age of 16 reported having been subjected to physical or psychological partner violence in 2021.
  • Psychological or psychiatric treatment: There are no specific data available about how many women have received psychological or psychiatric treatment after experiencing violence.
  • Feeling of unhappiness: Likewise, there is no direct information about the proportion of women who, after experiencing violence and receiving treatment, still feel unhappy.

Our school offers more than healing; it provides a new foundation. Here, women will reside and grow, building meaningful lives as family leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers. With strong leadership and emotional mastery, we foster a community that champions compassion and justice as fundamental values, reshaping how women interact with the world and themselves.

We approach justice with fresh eyes, aiming to restore order and goodness to our hearts and the world. Our method goes beyond resolving past issues to transforming them into platforms for triumph. We embrace women where they are, illuminating their potential beyond past adversities. By unlocking these roots, we guide them to proudly declare: “I chose my past, I own it.”

Born from personal experience, our mission is deeply rooted in fostering a different way to be human, promoting generosity, compassion, and justice. Inspired by Tanja Andersen's volunteer journey at the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre in October 2013, where she encountered a blind Sun Bear named Gutuk, she felt a surge of purpose.

This encounter sparked her journey to create a solution at the root of darkness, promoting light, pride, accountability, and self-worth among women. Through this empowerment, women are encouraged to set healthy boundaries, choose relationships aligned with their core values, and confidently reject those that are not. This ultimately supports a new way of living that brings balance back to the world, nature, and its creatures.

Tanja’s experience fueled her drive for transformative change. She, like many women, has faced numerous obstacles from mental health battles to reclaiming self-worth. Her resolve stands firm in supporting other women through their journeys.

We invite you to be part of this groundbreaking movement. Help us bring this vision to life in Denmark and eventually expand to ten countries globally. Together, we can make profound impacts, one woman at a time.
